a TV documentary produced by LaboM
Liliia (28) fled from Ukraine to Berlin. She is now working successfully for an international jewelry brand. But homesickness and worries about her family weigh heavily on her. Anna (35) sought refuge in Gelsenkirchen (Germany). A single mother, she works as a translator and supports refugee women. She plays a key role in the Ukrainian community. The experiences of violence during the war and her escape deeply influence her work. Liliia hopes to establish a daily moment of silence in her Berlin community—a quiet pause to remember the victims of the war in her homeland. Will she succeed?
37°Leben is a cross-media documentary format on ZDF. Here, young adults share their stories—up close, real, honest, and intense. The focus is always on essential life questions during the “rush hour of life.” The topics cover lifestyle choices, identity and mental health, relationships, and family. One thing unites them all: they tell an authentic story.
